Unscheduled Maintenance Window – 4/26/2019 – 4/27/2019 All Lines of Business EDI Support Services (EDISS) will be conducting system maintenance on April 26, 2019, from 4 p.m. (CST) to April 27, 2019, at noon (CST). EDISS will still be collecting claims during this window for all lines of business except submitters to the Iowa Medicaid Web Portal.

The below list of applications and/or processes are impacted during this maintenance window:
  • EDISS Connect – This application and its functions will be unavailable
  • Iowa Medicaid Web Portal – This application and its functions will be unavailable
  • Medicare 277CA reports – Delivery of these transactions to submitters mailboxes will be delayed
  • Medicare 835 (ERA) – Delivery of these transactions to submitters mailboxes will be delayed

277CA Report Delivery Delay Identified and Corrected – 3/19/2018 For Medicare Submitters EDISS is currently experiencing a 277CA report delivery delay associated to 837 files submitted after approximately 9:00 am (CST) on 3/18/2018 through current.
Processing Issue Identified and Corrected – 3/12/2018 For All EDI Gateway Submitters EDI Support Services (EDISS) identified a processing issue within the EDI Gateway that affected report delivery for 837 files between 6:45 am (CT) on 3/9/2018 through 2:00 pm (CT) on 3/10/2018. Reports for these files are now available for retrieval.
Processing Issue Identified and Corrected – 2/12/2018 For All EDI Gateway Submitters EDI Support Services (EDISS) identified a processing issue in the EDI Gateway that affected inbound files between 1:00 am – 8:00 am (CT) on 2/12/2018. Please review any 837 submissions from this timeframe to ensure corresponding 999 and 277CA acknowledgement reports were received. If your file did not generate reports, please resubmit the affected file(s) if you have not done so already.
Gateway Intermittent Connectivity: Resolved – 2/12/2018 For All New Gateway Submitters EDI Support Services (EDISS) has resolved the intermittent connectivity issues for modem users. EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Processing Issue Identified and Corrected – 1/26/2018 For All EDI Gateway Submitters EDI Support Services (EDISS) identified a processing issue in the EDI Gateway that caused duplicate reports to be delivered to Submitter mailboxes from 4:00 PM on 1/25/2018 to 7:15 AM on 1/26/2018 (CST). This issue has been corrected and any duplicate reports received from that timeframe can be disregarded.

Incorrect 277CA Acknowledgement Rejections For All Medicare Part A Submitters

EDI Support Services (EDISS) was informed by Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS) of a nation–wide issue impacting the Medicare Part A NPI crosswalk on May 17, 2017. Due to this issue Medicare Part A files submitted may have received incorrect rejections related to this issue.

EDISS will send a notification once the issue is resolved and the claims can be resubmitted. EDISS apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
