EDI Support Services (EDISS) recommends that Internet Explorer (IE) 8 is used to access Total OnBoarding (TOB). Although IE9 is the most current version available for download, TOB will operate best on IE8 until the functionality for IE9 can be fully implemented into TOB.
If you wish to use IE9 instead of IE8, you may experience viewing discrepancies between the versions. EDISS will not be able to assist with these viewing issues. You can, however, turn on the Compatibility View tool found in your internet options as a troubleshooting method.
When updating the PC-ACE Pro32 software, do not run the restore of your PC-ACE Pro32 back-up. All the data within PC-ACE Pro32 remains in the software when updated.
If you use wireless/satellite for your internet connection the entire PC-ACE Pro32 update that is downloaded may be incomplete. If you experience a CRC error message when executing the update, please re-download the update from a different form of internet connection.
When using the Iowa Medicaid Web Portal to access real-time requests, trading partners must first create a profile in the Administrative Setup option on the Main Menu. If this is not completed, there will be no information available to the user.
When creating the profile, make sure that the Submitter/Trading Partner Identifier and the NPI ID match what was submitted to EDI Support Services (EDISS), and the Facility/Organization Name matches what is on file with the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME). Once the profile has been created, the real-time requests will be available the next day.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has designated June 15, 2011, as National Testing Day for HIPAA version 5010. This testing is designed to validate each trading partner’s ability to meet technical compliance and performance processing standards and assure that trading partners are able to send and receive compliant transactions effectively. Testing will allow trading partners to identify any potential issues, and address them in advance of the January 1, 2012, compliance date.
If you have not started the testing process, please review the 5010 Readiness checklist. To take part in the National Testing Day, send a test file into EDI Support Services (EDISS) via Total OnBoarding (TOB) on June 15, 2011.
