EDISS Observes Thanksgiving

For All Trading Partners

In observance of Thanksgiving the EDI Support Services (EDISS) Help Desk will be closed Thursday, November 26, 2009 and Friday, November 27, 2009 for all lines of business.

Phone support will resume normal operating hours from 8:00 a.m. (CT) to 5:00 p.m. (CT) on Monday, November 30, 2009.

EDISS Introduces New Online Tutorials

For All Trading Partners

EDI Support Services (EDISS) developed new online tutorials to assist Trading Partners with using EDISS online systems. The tutorials supplement the online User Guides and education provided through the EDISS Newsletter. All educational resources can be found at www.edissweb.com.

The first tutorials are for all Trading Partners and illustrate how to use Total OnBoarding (TOB). To access the tutorials, click on the Total OnBoarding tab of www.edissweb.com and select your state. The TOB Tutorials are located just below the TOB User Guides.

The other tutorials are for Iowa Medicaid Trading Partners and illustrate how to use the Iowa Medicaid Web Portal. To access the tutorials, click on the Training and Help tab of www.edissweb.com and select Iowa. The tutorials are located under the Web Portal Tutorials heading.

Rendering or Invalid NPI registration in Total OnBoarding (TOB)

For All Trading Partners

EDISS reminds providers that only billing NPI’s are registered in Total OnBoarding (TOB). Rendering provider’s NPI’s are not needed in TOB and will be removed by EDISS if entered.  

Any new billing NPI’s should be registered with EDISS through TOB after enrollment with the appropriate payer has been confirmed. If an NPI is not enrolled with a certain line of business (LOB), that LOB should not be selected in TOB.
