Who is EDI Support Services (EDISS)?

The EDI Support Services team assists providers and vendors submit electronic claims through electronic data interchange (EDI). In addition to assisting providers migrate to more efficient electronic solutions, this team supports EDI processing for many lines of business (refer to http://www.edissweb.com/gen/supp_docs/ to view specific information regarding the lines of business supported).

What is EDI?

EDI is the electronic exchange of information between two entities. EDI provides a way to exchange information electronically, dramatically improving how we all do business. EDISS supports the EDI process. This team is divided into two areas of focus: the Help Desk and the Projects Team.

What services does EDISS provide?

EDISS Help Desk
The EDISS Help Desk focuses on Trading Partner support. EDISS defines a Trading Partner as an entity which sends and/or receives electronic health care transactions to/from EDISS. A Trading Partner could be a provider, billing group, billing service, clearinghouse, or payer. The EDISS Help Desk staffs' main responsibilities are to work with Trading Partners by providing general phone support and marketing EDI. Other EDISS Help Desk responsibilities include:
