HETS Attestations in EDISS Connect

For All Medicare Providers

You may have received a notification from your Vendor regarding the May 11, 2026, requirement to have a HIPAA Eligibility Transaction System (HETS) Attestation completed to continue to submit through HETS for eligibility. EDI would like to provide the following tips for completing this process:

  • Providers accessing their account after 90 days of inactivity will need to create a new user via the "90 Days Since Last Login" link at https://connect.edissweb.com/
    • If you are unsure of the Submitter ID, you can utilize the Submitter ID Lookup? tool on the login page. This tool is exclusive to Providers only.
  • View the instructions located in the HETS Attestations document by visiting: https://www.edissweb.com/web/cgpblue/registration
    • This will show you where to view your Attestations
    • How to complete a new Attestation
  • The HETS Attestation is only for the Billing NPI. Do not register your rendering NPIs.
Note: For providers/vendors receiving an error related to there not being an attestation on file, confirm that the billing provider information is being used to complete the HETS request.
  • The HETS Unique ID must be obtained from your vendor.
  • HETS attestations need to be renewed annually. The termination date entered into the HETS attestation should not be more than a year from the current completion date.

Tips for Creating a New User in Connect

For All Providers

After 90 days of inactivity in Connect, users are removed. In order for providers to create a new user, they need to select the “90 Days Since Last Login” link on the main login page. The following are some general tips and troubleshooting to help assist with creating the new user:

  • The username must be unique, between 8-20 characters and contain no spaces or special characters
    • We suggest a username that is closer to 8 characters to ensure fewer complications
    • Avoid repeating characters
  • Once you receive your email, copy the temporary password contained in the email making sure to not include any extra spaces.
    • Click on the link to paste the password.
Important Note: Ensure you have closed your browser before clicking on the link
    • Ensure that the username is not auto-populating. If it is, remove it and then manually type it in.
  • Your password must be 8-16 characters consisting of at least one:
    • Upper-case letter
    • Lower case letter
    • One of these special characters: $, #, *, - or _ . Do not have it at the end of the password.
    • Contain no spaces
    • Avoid repeating characters
    • The use of dictionary names or words as passwords is prohibited
  • General troubleshooting suggestions if errors are received:
    • Try clearing cookies and browsing history
    • Try a different browser
